This page contains information on the terms and conditions that apply to all of your purchases from d2dfurniture.com and d2dfurniture.co.uk. Please read through them carefully before placing your order.
1 Delivery
Delivery is free in Northern Ireland, or £29 per order on the UK mainland, regardless of order size. To keep the cost of this service so low some deliveries are carried out by a single driver. This driver will nearly always be able to deliver your furniture onto your property without any assistance, and where this will not be possible you will be notified prior to delivery. If assisted, the driver will be able to help further in moving furniture to a desired room in your home but he will use his discretion if he believes there is a risk of damage to property or a risk of injury.
a) Pre Delivery Requirements
Prior to delivery, you must tell us:
i) If you require any assembly of your furniture on site (this may not be possible if you live on the UK mainland)
ii) If you live in a property where vehicular access will not be possible in a small lorry.
iii) If you live in a property where pedestrian access is only possible via flights of stairs, or where there are a series of steps leading to the chosen access door that are more than 0.5m in combined height
b) Aborted Deliveries
If we aren't informed of issues listed in 1 a) prior to delivery and this causes a delivery to be aborted then this will lead to a further wait for an order to arrive, and an additional £29 delivery charge will be levied if you live on the UK mainland. Alternatively, if an order is cancelled following an aborted delivery arising from important information about access not being shared with us, then we will take back the order as unwanted furniture in accordance with sections 2a) and 4) below, and as such we will require the return carriage of the furniture to be paid as well.
c) Delivery Surcharge Areas (UK Mainland)
The following postcodes are excluded from our normal delivery service, but we are likely to be able to deliver to many of these postcodes if a delivery surcharge is paid, starting from only £20 per order. Please contact us for a quote if you would like delivery to one of these areas:
FK18+, IV, KW, LL14+, PH7+, LD, SA18+, SY14+, TQ, TR
2 Returns
Regardless of the reason for a return, all furniture must be rewrapped carefully in the original wrapping, or if this has detiorated then we must be notified so that we can authorise a suitable substitution to the original wrapping in writing. A courier will not collect furniture that has any obvious problems in the way it is wrapped that are likely to cause damage in transit. If a courier has to abort a collection for this reason then a charge will be deducted from a refund total in line with those discussed in section 4 ii) and 4 iii). However, even if the exterior of wrapping looks fine then lack of care elsewhere can cause damage in transit (for example, two tables of a nest rubbing together) that will only become obvious when we check the return in our warehouse. The cost of any such damage will be deducted from any refund total and so to avoid your disappointment we stipulate.
i) If you have the original wrapping in good condition then this should be used. This should be applied in the way it was applied before you unwrapped your furniture. Please ask if you are unsure of these details
ii) If you don't have the original wrapping, or part of the original wrapping is missing, then you must seek written advice and authorisation for the adequate rewrapping of the return that must be subsequently adhered to
a) Unwanted Furniture
In accordance with European distance selling regulations you have a right to cancel within 7 days from the day you receive your furniture from us if there is nothing wrong with your furniture but you decide you don't want to keep it. All furniture to be returned must be in a perfect unused condition. There are a few exceptions to the list of items that can be covered by this section of the returns policy for common sense reasons (see 3 below). We will then issue a refund (see 4 below)
b) Damaged Furniture
Although a delivery company or our own staff may request a signature for furniture you receive from us, signing such a delivery docket does not imply that you have received your furniture in a perfect condition. However, you must inspect furniture and report damage in writing within 24 hours from the date/time you receive it. If it won't be possible to do this then please explain your circumstances to us PRIOR to delivery, in which case we may agree in writing with you that the 24 hours window for reporting damage can be extended. Photographs are always required to substantiate damage prior to us processing a complaint, but these don't have to provided within the 24 hours window for reporting damage. Damaged goods reported within the important 24 hours window will be replaced free of charge.
c) Faulty Furniture
We will issue a replacement if any faults develops within 6 months from the date/time you receive your furniture, and after 6 months if you can provide details that make it clear that it is a valid fault arising from a defect in the furniture. Photographs are always required to substantiate complaints about faulty furniture
3) Unreturnable Items
Mattresses and divan beds can only be returned if they are unopened. Mattresses and divan beds which have been opened or slept on cannot be returned. Any flat pack furniture that has been partially or fully assembled cannot be returned unless it is faulty. Any bespoke items or special orders for furniture not usually advertised or sold on our website cannot be returned unless they are damaged or faulty
4) Refunds
You will receive a refund for any furniture that you return to us (that is not going to be replaced) because it is unwanted, damaged or faulty in accordance with 2a), 2b) or 2c) above within 30 days. Refunds will be calculated as follows
i) If furniture is being returned in accordance with 2b) and 2c) then a full refund will be given, including the original delivery fee if applicable
ii) If furniture is being returned exclusively in accordance with 2a), from a Northern Ireland address, then we will deduct a restocking and administration fee of £30 from the refunded total.
iii) If furniture is being returned exclusively in accordance with 2a) above, from a UK mainland address, then we will deduct a fee of £70 from the refunded total for the cost of transporting the furniture back to our warehouse. In this situation, the original delivery fee cannot be reimbursed. If area surcharges were applied to the original order in accordance with 1b), then these will also be deducted from the refunded total.
5) Other Terms and Conditions
a) All prices include UK VAT and VAT receipts can be issued to UK businesses so that they can make any VAT claims to the UK VAT authorities
b) We try to ensure that all information and details on our website are accurate. However, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other documentation or information issued by d2dfurniture.com shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of d2dfurniture.com
c) We accept no responsibility for any loss suffered which may arise from reliance on the information or materials contained in this website or other external websites which may be linked to this website from time to time. Any link between this website and any other website is not to be construed in anyway that d2dfurniture.com endorse the proprietor persons or organisations featured on or the content of such other website.
d) The copyright and all other rights in this website are owned by d2dfurniture.com Permission is granted for the downloading and temporary storage of one or more pages of this website for the sole purpose of viewing on a personal computer or monitor, but must not be used for any commercial purpose. The reproduction, re-transmission or permanent storage of the contents of this website are prohibited without the prior written consent of d2dfurniture.com
e) If you wish to create a link between this website and any other website you must obtain our prior written permission which we may withhold without giving reasons or make subject to any conditions we require at our absolute discretion.
f) These terms are governed by the laws of the UK courts, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
g) Any variation to these terms (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) is inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the parties.
h) Personal information will not be passed on to any third party for any reason unconnected with your purchase through d2dfurniture.com
